Trip Overview

Botanical Treks & Excursion, a local tour operator arrange your glimpse of Mt. Everest trek or also known as the Everest view treks which is designed for short staying visitor, who is afraid of high altitude, having heart or Lungs problem, having desire to see Mt. Everest (8,848 m/29,028 ft) and its surrounding peaks (over 40 peaks). This trek is also known as Everest panorama trek or Everest Buddhits cultural trek. In this Everest view trek itinerary, we make a small loop by visiting all the Sherpas permanent villages where every village has own monastery. We also visit Hillary `s school & hospital in Khumjung/ Khunde. The trek begins from Lukla then passes through Phakding village (2,652 m), Monjo (2,775 m), Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), a gate way to Mt. Everest. Take  an extra night at Namche Bazaar for an acclimatization / adaptation day & visit local Monastery, the Saturday weekly Market venue, hike to Everest National Park`s headquarter Museum, a view point to see panoramic view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam & others mountains. Also, visit Sagarmatha National Park`s Museum which is very worth to visit, many important  information regarding the geographical formation, flora & fauna, Sherpa people, their culture, mountaineering , positive & negative impact of the tourism in the region & so on. Then after, trek to Thame (3,800 m) valley, Khumjung /Khunde (3,790 m/3,850 m) village, which are promoted as the Green valley in the region. Then, trek to Phortse village (3,750 m), a cradle village in between Dudh Koshi & Imja Khola -Pangboche (3,900 m)  -Thyangboche /Tengboche Monastery before returned back to Namche Bazaar. All of the villages of this region are the home of the Everest Summiteers. On the walk from Thyangboche/ Tengboche to  Namche Bazaar, we can see some of the spectacular views of the mountains including Thamserku (6,623 m), Kangtega (6,783 m),  Kusumkangaru (6,350 m), Tawache Peak (6,540 m), Konde Ri (6,187 m), Ama Dablam (6,856 m) as well as the Everest(8,848 m), Nuptse (7,864 m) & Lhotse (8,516 m) on the skyline ahead, at Tengboche we visit one of the significant Buddhist monastery of the whole  region. This is an ideal short trek to experiences the Everest region and the Sherpa Culture. Each & every villages of the region have local Monasteries. In end of October / Early November, there is a very big Buddhist Festival in Thyangboche/ Tengboche (3,860 m) called Mani Rimdu & the same festival is observed in Thame at the end of May. Another festival is Dumjee which is observed in every village in different date of April month every year.

  • Day 3

    Kathmandu to Lukla (2,846 m), trek to Phakding (2,652 m/ 40 minutes+ 3 hrs)

  • Day 4

    Trek Lukla to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) / 5 -5:30 hrs)

  • Day 5

    Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar, explore the local market / Monastery / view point/ Sagarmatha National Park Museum

  • Day 6

    Trek Namche to Thame village (3,800 m / 5-6 hrs), a home of Mr. Appa Sherpa who climbed Mt. Everest for 21 times (1992-2011) via Thamo village (3,440 m), a home of Ang Rita Sherpa, who is thefirst person to climb Mt. Everest for 10 times without using Supplementary Oxygen bottle)

    Trek Thame to Khumjung village (3,790 m /12,475 ft / 5-6 hrs). Explore the Khunde village (3,850 m), visit monastery where is so-called Yeti`s Skull, Kunde hospital & Hillary`s school.

  • Day 8

    : Trek Khumjung to Phortse village (3,750 / 5 hrs), a model village of Eco- Tourism in the region & Mountaineering school

  • Day 9

    Trek Phortse village to Pangboche village (3,900 m) - Thyangboche /Tengboche Monastery (3,860 m / 5-6 hrs)

  • Day 10

    Trek Thyangboche /Tengboche monastery to Monjo village (2,775 m/ 5:30- 6 hrs) via Namche Bazaar (lunch)

  • Day 11

    Trek Monjo village - Lukla (2,846 m /5 hrs)

  • Day 12

    Lukla -Kathmandu (fly out / 40 minutes), free day in Kathmandu

  • Day 13

    City sightseeing in Kathmandu valley (Bhaktapur Durbar square & Patan Durbar Square), an ancient Kingdoms until 1768 & UNESCO Cultural Heritage sites.
