Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 01

    Arrival at Kathmandu

    Arrival and transfer to Kathmandu Hotel, rest of the day is free.
  • Day 02

    Kathmandu Sightseeing

    After breakfast start to Kathmandu sightseeing including Pashupatinath Darshan & Budanilkantha Temple (Sleeping Bishnu Temple), back to Hotel and rest of the day is free for packing and program briefing.
  • Day 03

    Kathmandu to Nyalam (3,700 m)

    This is the first day of the Yatra. After breakfast, depart from Kathmandu to China border by tourist coach. It takes about 05 hours. Our agent will complete our custom formalities and check into Tibet, an autonomous part of China. After lunch, drive to a small Tibetan town called Nylam by Land Cruiser, overnight stay at Nylam Guest House. Breakfast and dinner in camp side and packed lunch will be provided.
  • Day 04

    Nylam Full day Acclimatization

    Full day free for excursion of Nylam city.
  • Day 05

    Nylam to Saga (4,500 m)

    After breakfast, drive from Nylam to Saga for about 07:00 hours which is 220 km. Overnight stay at Saga in Tent or Guesthouse
  • Day 06

    Saga to Paryang (4,450 m)

    After breakfast, proceed to Paryang for about 06:30 hours which is 195 Km distance, overnight at Paryang in Tent or Guesthouse.
  • Day 07

    Paryang to Manasarover (4,500 m)

    After breakfast, leave for Manasarover in a distance of 225 km which takes about 08:00 hours. This is the first day stay at the bank of the Manasarover Lake, overnight stay in Tent or Guesthouse.
  • Day 08

    Drive to Chho-Kue Gompa

    Manasarover Parikrama by Land Cruiser. We will choose the special point to take deep in Manasarover Lake and to Pooja of Lord Shiva, full day free for spiritual activities. Drive around 2:30 hrs to Darchen and overnight stay there.
  • Day 09

    Excursion around Darchen (4,560 m)

    After breakfast, drives around for an hour to Darchen, which is the base camp of Kailash Parvat. Full day is free for acclimatization. Visit Serlung Gompo (5,200 m) & Ashtapath, Nandi Parbat, overnight stay in Guesthouse at Darchen.
  • Day 10

    Darchen to Driaphuk (4,890 m)

    This is the first day of Kailash Parikrama. We should start our journey after breakfast as early as possible. This day we have to walk continuously for about 6 to 7 hours. Yak will carry our all goods and equipment, overnight stay at Driaphuk in Tent.
  • Day 11

    Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4,790 m)

    The day is very sensitive and we have to pass Dolma-La Pass, which is 5,400 m above sea level. The weather is unpredictable in Dolma-La Pass and at any time snowstorm can fall. So we try to start our journey as early as possible. En route, we can have Darshan of Gaurikunda but it is very difficult to go and touch, overnight stay in route to Zhuthulphuk in tent.
  • Day 12

    Zhuthulphuk to Darchen

    This is the day, we finish our Parikarma and go back to base camp in Darchen.
  • Day 13

    Darchen to Paryang

    Our tour starts back for Kathmandu following the same route and same system applies for all subjects of our accommodation and meal.
  • Day 14

    Paryang to Saga

    Drive back to Saga.
  • Day 15

    Saga to Nylam

    Drive back to Nylam, which is the last stay in Tibet part.
  • Day 16

    Nylam to Kathmandu

    After custom formalities, we will be picked up by Nepal side and continue drive to Kathmandu for about 05:00 hours & check into same hotel.
  • Day 17

    Kathmandu Stay

    Full day free at Kathmandu for shopping and other personal activities.
  • Day 18

    Departure to Airport

    After breakfast, departure for Airport by tourist coach for your home destination.

  • 3 Nights hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on B/B basis at standard hotel.
  • All transportation by tourist coach in Nepal part and Land cruiser in Tibet part.
  • The entire travel permit & entrance permit of monuments in Tibet.

  • Tibet part accommodation in Guesthouse / Tent on twin sharing basis.

  • Riding yak while Parikrama of Mt. Kailash.

  • Personal beverages, photography charge, Chinese visa fee.
  • An emergency evacuation cost.

  • Monument entry fees in Kathmandu while sightseeing tour.

  • An alternative transportation charge due to Natural Calamities.

Risk and Liabilities

We always work hard to make your group’s journey smooth and pleasant. However, as all the Tibet tours and treks are run strictly under Tibet Tourism Bureau. Alpine Asian Adventure Nepal or our Tibet agent shall not be responsible for any alternation or cancellation of program due to any unavoidable circumstances beyond our control such as road blockage, landslide and snow, political unrest cancellation of flight, delay arrival, sickness or accident. Any extra cost such as Porters / accommodations etc incurring there of shall be burn by the clients on the spot. Since, Tibet is very remote place and road are very rough sometime good vehicle may broke.
We highly advised to the clients to have full insurance against medical and personal accident risk.
