Trip Overview

The region is located, north-east direction from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Trek starts from KHARIDHUNGA (the stone used to make Marvel/slate), which lies 5 hours drive from Kathmandu, the region is multi ethnics as the inhabitant are dominated by SHERPA, TAMANG, NEWAR, BRAHMINS & Others. Once you are in KALINCHOWK (a popular Hindus goddess temple also situated), at the altitude of 3,580 m, one can find a majestic view of the HIMALAYA in a semi-circle, and the two big rivers of Nepal TAMAKOSHI and SUNKHOSI are visible, along the trek you will pass by densely forested trail where you may finds unique flora and fauna to discovers. The excitement of the trek is to meet with a rare ethnic group of indigenous people called THAMI of Nepal.

  • Day 1

    Arrive Kathmandu, Pick up from Airport / Bus station, transfer to hotel, free day.

  • Day 2

    Kathmandu / Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley (Swoyambhunath Stupa / Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple &Kathmandu Durbar Square).

  • Day 3

    Drive by bus from Kathmandu to Barhabise (twelve times of 20s).

  • Day 4

    Trek from Barhabise to Angeri Kharka.

  • Day 5

    Trek from Angeri Kharka to Bigu Gompa / Gumba / Monaster.

  • Day 6

    Trek from Bigu Gompa to Sighate.

  • Day 7

    Rest day at Sighate &side trip to explore in & around.

  • Day 8

    Trek from Sighate to Junggepati.

  • Day 9

    Trek from Junggepati to Kalipokhari (Black Pond).
