Trip Overview

The Timal Sailung trek is situated in north-east of Kathmandu valley, is a non- touristic area, we have designed this treks for all age groups so the maximum elevation on the treks is below 3,500 m which is lower than  the average tree line in Nepal. The starting point of trek is, Mude (Dolakha), about 100 km from Kathmandu, as soon as you enter the region you will encounter with the ethnic community of Tamang, the indigenous inhabitants of Periphery of Kathmandu valley, very closed with Sherpas, famous for Thankas painting, one of the ethnic group of Nepal, who’s Lamaism & Shamanism are famous. Timal Sailung trekking gives an opportunity to see the wide range of Himalayan scenery which includes Mt. Annapurna in the west to Mt. Makalu in the east, in between Mt. Everest, Mt. Ganesh Himal  & Langtang range of the central are also visible. More over from the final ascend you will have the glimpse of the Terai belt, the lowland of Nepal. As a whole, you will have the spectacular scenery of Nepal within a short time frame.

    Katmandu Sightseeing valley (Monkey Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple & Kathmandu Durbar Square).

    Drive to Mude Bazaar.

  • Day 4

    Trek from Mude Bazaar to Khola Kharka.

  • Day 5

    Trek from Khola Kharka to Dhormba Gompa.

  • Day 6

    Trek from Dhormba Gompa to Bag Dhunga.

  • Day 7

    Trek from Bag Dhunga to Gurase Bhanjyang.

  • Day 8

    Trek from Gurase Bhanjyang to Bholung village.

  • Day 9

    Trek from Bholung village to Chapkhore.

    Trek from Chapkhore to Kottimal Camp.

Cost Includes

  1. 3 night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at 3 star categories on B/B basis
  2. A full day sightseeing / city tour in Kathmandu valley (4 sites= Swayambhunath temple / Monkey temple, Bouddhanath stupa, Pashupatinath temple & Kathmandu Durbar Square) = Private vehicle & professional tour guide
  3. All surface transfer by local / public bus (Kathmandu - Mude Bazaar then Panauti - Kathmandu)

  4. Travel / Health / Rescue evacuation coverage insurance
  5. Any inter flights, if applicable
  6. Essential trekking equipment (trekking boots, rucksack, walking poles & so on...)
  7. Personal nature of expenses (all bar bill, mineral water / boiled water, pots of tea/coffee, laundry bill, telephone bill, battery charge & so on)
  8. Tipping for all the local staffs
  9. An emergency or rescue evacuation cost / bill / charge, paid by yourself / health / travel insurance company, depending on nature of rescue
  10. An alternative transportation in case of rain / landslide, strike/ road blockade or wished / wanted for comfortable journey
